A. Teaching objectives

By the end of the class, students will be able to

1. Spell, pronounce and grasp the following words: candy, notebook, toy and key.

2. Understand the sentence patterns: “What’s in my schoolbag? My keys ...” “Excuse me. I lost my schoolbag.” “What’s in it?” “Here it is! Thank you so much!”

3.Use the new words and sentence pattern in daily life.

B. Teaching emphases and difficulties

1. Consolidate the articles: a, an and the plural.

2. Use the communication phraseology simply: “Excuse me.” “Here it is!” “Thank you so much!” and so on.

C. Teaching aids

1. Flashcard: it’s used to understand the new words and play in the game.

2. Blackboard: it’s used to highlight the key words and sentences.

3. PPT: It’s used to show some pictures and activities.

1.Warm-up

Put your Chinese book in your desk.

Put your pencil box on your English book.

Put your maths book under your schoolbag.

Put your eraser near your pencil box.

2Review the words on Part A

Let’s learn: schoolbag, maths book, English book, Chinese book and storybook.

【设计意图】通过Let’s do 活跃课堂气氛,集中学生的注意力。其次,复习本单元的新单词,为本课作出铺垫。

2. Presentation

T: Boys and girls, this is a?

S: Notebook.

T: Good job. This is a notebook. Now follow me, notebook. (开火车)

T: Look here. How many notebooks? Let’s count. 1, 2, 3

T: Do you have a notebook? Show me your notebook.

②candy and toy

T: OK, boys and girls. It’s Zhang Peng’s schoolbag. Zhang Peng says, “Mmm. What’s in my schoolbag?” Look at the screen carefully. Guess, OK?(课件上candytoy的图片一闪而过)

S1: Candy

S2: Toy

T: Maybe. Let’s have a look. Yes, candy and toy. First, follow me, candy.(开火车)

T: Here are many candies. Do you like candies?

S: Yes.

T: Now go on. Follow me, toy. (开火车)

T: How many toys?

S: Two toys.

T: Now who can tell me what’s in it?

S: A notebook, three candies and two toys.

T: Who has a key? Show me your key.

S:

T: Yes. Zhang Peng has three keys, too. Follow me, key.(train speaking)

【设计意图】借助PPT,逐一呈现了新单词:notebook, candy, toy and key. 让学生在张鹏的书包里有什么的情境下,有意义地学习新知识。通过提问“How many?”,引导学生分清楚词汇的单复数。

(2)pair work

T: Look at Zhang Peng’s schoolbag. What colour is it?

S: It’s blue and white.

T: What’s in it?

S: A notebook, three candies, two toys and three keys.

T: Well done. What about your schoolbag? Now let’s have a pair work.

A: What colour is your schoolbag?

B: It’s ______.

A: What’s in it?

B: ______.

【设计意图】通过简单的pair work,引导学生操练和巩固了本课的新句型:What’s in it? __________.

3.Practice and extension

T: Boys and girls, look here. Do you know this place? (课件出示一张Let’s talk没有对话的图片,向学生说明失物招领Lost & Found

T: Who are they?

S: Zhang Peng and his mother.

T: Zhang Peng is careless. He lost his schoolbag. So he comes to the “Lost & Found”. Do you want to know what they are talking about? Ok. Turn to page 17. Just listen and answer the questions.(听两遍)

Questions:

①What colour is Zhang Peng’s schoolbag?

②What’s in it?

T: Do you know “Excuse me”? It means “对不起”. Because Zhang Peng lost his schoolbag. 他想让妈妈帮忙找,所以出于礼貌,带着请求他人帮忙的语气先道歉。

T: Here it is.(教师边做动作边解释)它在这儿。妈妈帮Zhang Peng找到了书包,所以要感谢Thank you so much!“非常感谢” “so much” means “非常”.

(教师示范,先将一个学生的铅笔盒拿过来,假装藏好,然后让学生照对话说Excuse me. I lost my pencil box. 教师说What colour is it?之后对话一一示范一遍。)

【设计意图】在前面的层层铺垫下,顺其自然地引出本课的对话课,从听回答问题,让学生对文本有个整体的理解。其次是听,跟读,培养学生模仿语音语调。然后通过分角色表演,引导学生形成表演意识。最后通过pair work,引导学生对整个文本进行有意义地巩固。

E. 课后反思

1. Let’s do引入新课,有效地运用TPR全身反应法,让孩子在做中学,学生比较感兴趣,也活跃了课堂气氛。

2. 逐步呈现新单词,在扎实地掌握新词的发音以及理解意思的基础上,通过How many的问句,让学生掌握单词的复数表达方法。

3. 课堂中设计了pair work,让学生在合作中说英语,爱英语,鼓励学生展示自己,提高学生综合语言的运用能力。
